2019-2020
The latest passion fruit project is somewhat uncertain since the plant that is currently growing up a tree is of an unknown variety.
3 years ago, I planted the purple passion fruit and allowed it to climb up a tree in my front yard. When it took off, I had at least a few passion fruits a day. The fruit will fall off the vines and land on the driveway and road in front of my house. The good thing about this is that the fruit has a somewhat spongy texture and this prevents it from cracking open when it lands on a hard surface. There were a few occasional mishaps of accidentally driving over the fallen fruit.

That vines have since been cut off as it was getting a bit old and was not producing like it did. Over the time when the passion fruit vine was aging, I scattered seeds from the green passion fruit variety which I bought from Bali Indonesia (pure sweet, fragrant with no hint of sour). I also scattered some of the yellow passion fruit variety (sweet, slight hint of sour and very fragrant).
Because the seeds were scattered, I am not sure what actually has grown.

Yellow and Green
To be sure, I decided to (eventually) cut off the grape vine that is dominating the iron trellis behind my house. The plan now, is to have the 2 desired varieties planted on each side of the trellis.
